It turns out that puerile retribution by a freshmen alderman and his ilk does have real effects, in terms
of real dollars and liability insurance costs, not to mention the incalculable economic cost of businesses that
won't start or relocate here because of the sh**show that precedes the reputation of local government.
Public Entity Partners, an insurance provider for the city of Tullahoma, has decided that we are too risky to
insure. Why, you may ask? In their words "the city's pattern of actions have put us outside the risk-sharing standard of
Public Entity Partners."
Hear their explanation below.
A brief history of Kurt Glick
Kurt Glick has always tried to be employed by our government and paid with your tax dollars
He hired his friends, got overconfident, retaliated against subordinates while working as the Parks and Recreation Director in Tullahoma
Staff complained multiple times to the city through appropriate legal channels
Third-party investigation team was brought in to review and found cronyism, favoritism and a bad workplace environment under Kurt Glick's leadership
He was reprimanded (not fired), kept his job
Threw a tantrum, resigned in protest
3 weeks later filed lawsuit against the City of Tullahoma for dismissal
Nobody knew all this when he was running for office and he was elected alderman because of the popular last name of his sister
First order of business for Kurt Glick as an elected official was retribution
This resulted in outrageous treatment of an amply qualified city administrator, who easily found a new role in the wealthiest (and most discerning) city in Tennessee that can afford anyone. She then poached a highly qualified codes director, who was also being disparaged by Kurt Glick and friends
Refused to recuse himself from votes on matters related to him
Was arrested, got a mugshot and is now charged with 2 felonies related to abuse of power while in office
Is now running for mayor << We are here
Federal trial is scheduled for September
